Avanti aims to get students from disadvantaged and less privileged backgrounds into leading institutions in India, particularly in engineering and medicine. We do this through intervention programmes implemented across the country in the JNV school system administered by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

This year, Avanti's offline intervention at JNV Bundi in Rajasthan produced excellent results: all 50 students qualified in JEE Main, and 36 of them secured places at India's IITs.

Pankaj's case is just one of many impressive examples. From a remote village in Alwar, Rajasthan, he is about to begin his dream course: a B.Tech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay!

Pankaj is from a family of six, and all of his siblings are in school. His father, the only earner, had big dreams for his children even as the family faced financial difficulties.

Pankaj was greatly relieved to be admitted to JNV Bundi, where he also learned about the free, high-quality competitive exam coaching run by Avanti.

Since childhood, Pankaj has been interested in computers and software. When his interest in building apps grew during the pandemic, he decided to make the most of the opportunity, knowing that this was not simply another personal achievement but also his family's way to a better future.
