Celebrating Dreams and Determination: Avanti Fellows' 2025 Annual Meet

On May 22, Avanti Fellows gathered government stakeholders, institutional partners, donors, and alumni for our second Annual Meet at Mumbai's Museum of Solutions—an evening celebrating courage, grace, and the transformative power of opportunity.

Stories of Resilience and Achievement

The event showcased the journeys of students from economically disadvantaged communities who overcome extraordinary odds to crack some of the world's most challenging entrance examinations. Our focus: the human stories behind the statistics, proving that our students are more than marks and ranks—they are dreamers and change-makers.

Alumni shared inspiring testimonials that brought our mission to life:

Nithyashree G R and Chinmayi D S are pursuing Mechanical Engineering at NIT-Surathkal, breaking barriers as young women in STEM fields.

Janajit Kuli traveled from Assam to our Puducherry Centre of Excellence, then to NIT-Surathkal, and now works at Apollo Global Management, Inc. in Mumbai.

Pooja Jha became Avanti's first IFS officer, while Bhuvan Gowda H N moved from our Puducherry CoE to IIT-Bombay and now works with the founder's office at Pointo. His message resonated deeply: "Be the architects of your own dreams."

A Vision for Systemic Change

Each dream requires allies who will imagine new futures alongside these students. We're grateful to our partners and donors who help shift representation at India's best STEM colleges.

Our vision is clear: create true meritocracy at India's elite institutions where student bodies authentically reflect our nation's diversity—systemically and at scale. The Annual Meet reaffirmed this vision is already taking shape, one student at a time.
